Elm Drive Public School

Bringing modern educational facilities to life, Torcom Construction Inc. completed a state-of-the-art 60,000-square-foot elementary school on the grounds of an active Continuing and Adult Education Centre. This complex project showcases our ability to balance large-scale construction with operational continuity.

Scope of Work‍

The new two-story building includes standard and specialized classrooms, administrative offices, a library, a gymnasium, and a childcare wing. Construction was carefully staged to allow the existing school in the north zone to remain fully operational while the new school was built in the south zone. The structure features durable materials such as concrete block foundations, slab-on-grade floors, and hollow core slabs with reinforced block walls and steel joist roofing. The exterior blends masonry, curtain wall glazing, and aluminum paneling for a modern, functional design.
