PROJECT
Marking a milestone in modern school construction, TORCOM Construction Inc. delivered a 70,000-square-foot, two-story facility at Castle Oaks Public School. Designed to foster a vibrant learning environment, the project also included extensive site enhancements and landscaping.
Scope of Work
The school’s exterior blends brick, stone veneer, cement board paneling, curtain walls, and architectural metal panels for a striking appearance. Structurally, it incorporates concrete footings, load-bearing masonry walls, precast hollow core slabs, and a three-ply bituminous roofing system.
The surrounding site features concrete sidewalks, curbs, an irrigated soccer field, and heavy-duty asphalt paving for the play area and parking lot. Lush landscaping with trees, shrubs, and sodded green spaces adds aesthetic appeal. Interior and operational enhancements include a perimeter radiant heating system and a gas-fired generator for emergency preparedness.
